About Panyatsime Hills Heritage and Culture Centre

Panyatsime Heritage and Cultural Trust is a wholly Zimbabwean organization established in 2021 with a mission to preserve, promote, and celebrate Zimbabwe’s rich heritage and cultural identity.

Recognizing the growing need to safeguard both tangible and intangible heritage in the face of rapid urbanization and globalization, the Trust established the Panyatsime Heritage and Culture Centre (East of Harare at 18592 Rockview, Zengeza 5, Chitungwiza), providing a dedicated space for the preservation, promotion, and celebration of Zimbabwe’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.

In support of Zimbabwe’s Heritage-Based Curriculum (HBC), Panyatsime provides immersive cultural and educational experiences that enable learners, educators, and communities to engage directly with the nation’s rich heritage and cultural diversity. As a valuable learning resource for schools, the Centre offers opportunities to explore important cultural and heritage issues through practical, experience-based learning, fostering a deeper appreciation of Zimbabwean identity while helping to preserve and promote its cultural legacy for future generations.
